Windows seven ultimate:  Suddenly will not connect to my printserver workstation or to any shared folders on this 2000 Professional Work station.  No problems with my Vista Laptop
When I try to connect I get the logon screen for a username and password. I try to log on using the user name and pwd and it just comes up again without access. 2k Computer name "Printer" Username on printer with admin rights larry. Win7 computer name "quickbunny" user Administrator. no matter if I use \\printer\larry or \\quickbunny\administrator I have the same password set on all units. Worked prior to a two week shutdown. I have run out of arguments to attain access. My laptops have no trouble getting to the shared printer on the 2K station. No username or password works. Please let me know what has changed in th SAM or if it could have been an update I have the windows firewall turned off. this is a wired ethernet system

Hello, You may input the incorrect user name. The username's format should be printer\larry or quickbunny\administrator. If the problem still happens after typing the username and password, try to access the shared folds manuallly:1. Press windows logo key+ R, then Run window will appear.2. Type in \\printer\[ your shared folder name]Thomas77

Tried to no avail. keeps asking for \\quickbunny\administrator password it does not accept the when i try to either map a drive or add printer from another WS. Used to be just fine. I wonder if there was an update that screwed it up. If I suggest to use another user ie \\printer\larry or \\printer\administrator dialogue box says cannot access you might not have permission to use this network resource. Strange problem !
